What a great fun filled experience. Toured 3 distilleries, with Neeley Family Distillery in Sparta KY being my favorite. The bourbon tasting included some bourbon creams and bourbon with absinthe, which was a special surprise! The tour there was delightful, mixed with much humor! AND tons of information about their bourbon making processes, their deep seated family history in this business, and a vast font of info during the tasting part of the tour. I enjoyed the scenery being a passenger too! Our van was very comfortable and Melanie provided snacks during the tour. Everything was top notch with excellent service. Excellent tour! Melanie provided the best day at unique distilleries! She even took us off the beaten path to drop in at another place! She made my husbands birthday wonderful- she surprised us with balloons and a cookie cake!! Additionally, she happily accommodated our dietary restrictions. Would absolutely recommend!
We had a fantastic time – everything was well planned from the timing of tours, to lunch at Staxx! It was fun to learn about the different distilleries and how each facility has their own unique spin on processing bourbon. And who can forget the tastings!?!?!?! A wonderful experience overall and a great group to work with!!!
